Note: The battery-free operation mode is recommended for emergency use only when sunlight is abundant and the photovoltaic system maintains a stable DC voltage of 130V. Long-term use is not advised.
You can configure it as follows:
- 01 Set to SBU, meaning solar power is the primary source, followed by battery power. Mains power will only supply electricity when both are unavailable;
- 05 Configure based on your battery type (USE/AMG/LI2/LI4/LIB);
If selecting βUser-Defined,β battery charging voltage and low DC cutoff voltage can be set in programs 26, 27, and 29.
If βLIBβ is selected, the battery defaults apply to lithium batteries. Set the battery charging voltage and low DC cutoff voltage without communication functionality in programs 26, 27, and 29.
If βLI2/LI4β is selected, the battery defaults apply to lithium batteries. Set the battery charging voltage and low DC cutoff voltage with communication functionality in programs 43, 44, and 45.
- Set battery charging mode 16 to OSO for solar-only battery charging;
- Set 43 to 5%, 44 to 60%, and 45 to 3%.
With this configuration, your inverter will prioritize solar power to supply your household loads. When solar power is insufficient to meet household load requirements, battery power will supplement solar power to supply the household loads. Only when both are unavailable will utility grid power activate to supply the household loads.
When your battery discharges to 5% (as set in 43), it automatically switches to utility power while simultaneously charging via solar. Once the battery reaches 60% charge (as set in 44), it reverts back to battery power. This maximizes solar energy utilization!
Multiple Output Modes: UTL/SOL/SBU/SUB
The default setting is utility-priority mode (UTL mode). You can arrange the output mode according to your needs!
In SOL mode, loads are primarily powered by solar energy. If solar energy is unavailable, loads are powered by the grid.
In SBU mode, solar energy is the primary power source. If solar energy is unavailable, loads are powered by the battery.
In SUB mode, the battery is primarily charged by solar energy and then supplies power to loads. When solar energy is unavailable, loads are powered by the grid.
Three Charging Modes: Solar Priority / Hybrid Charging / Solar-Only Charging
Via inverter setting [16], three battery charging modes can be configured: solar and grid hybrid charging (default setting), limited solar charging, and pure solar charging. Additionally, the inverter incorporates multiple protective functions to ensure safe and reliable charging. By adding a Battery Management System (BMS), battery status can be monitored to prevent overcharging or over-discharging, thereby extending battery lifespan.
Furthermore, the inverter includes a lithium battery activation feature (disabled by default), which can be enabled via inverter settings [42].
